Introduction: Dr.
Tim Rasinski is a professor of education in the Department of Teaching,
Leadership, and Curriculum Studies at Kent State University. Dr. Rasinski's
major interests include working with children who find reading difficult,
phonics and reading fluency instruction, and teacher development in literacy
education. He has published many articles and has written several books on
various aspects of reading education. FOR-PD interviewed Dr. Tim Rasinski
on fluency, its impact on reading comprehension, and how to assist secondary
students that struggle with fluency.
